How Remote Tuning Works
- Order your tune on your vehicle's engine page.
- Send your information — VIN, mod list, fuel and stock read to sales@n2speed.com.
- Flash the file — your custom calibration is emailed, normally within 1-2 business days.
- Log and refine — send data logs and we revise until it is dialed in. Tuning is log-based, not live over the internet; we can coordinate a local dyno appointment if you want faster revisions.

What You Need
- An HP Tuners interface — MPVI2, MPVI3 or MPVI4, plus RTD — with credits for your vehicle (some newer controllers require an MPVI4), or a supported DiabloSport device. An MPVI4 with credits can be added when you order.
- A Windows laptop with HP Tuners VCM Suite (HP Tuners route)
- A wideband air/fuel gauge for Stage 3 builds
- 2018+ Dodge, Jeep and RAM: a security bypass cable ($89)

Locked PCMs & Unlocks
Dodge, Jeep, RAM & Chrysler 2015+: the factory PCM is locked. We unlock it by mail with our PCM unlock service ($199.99), or with a BIN file unlock ($49.99) on GPEC and GPEC2A modules — no shipping, ideal for overseas customers. See the Dodge, Jeep & RAM unlock FAQ.
GM: pre-Global B ECMs do not need an unlock. Global B vehicles (2022.5+ trucks and newer Escalade and CT5-V Blackwing models) need an ECM unlock that we quote from your VIN, and the 10-speed T93 TCM unlock is $399.99.

How much does a custom remote tune cost?
Custom remote tunes at N2 Speed are $450 for Stage 1 (stock and bolt-on builds), $550 for Stage 2 (heads, cam and similar builds where offered) and $650 for Stage 3 (supercharged, turbocharged or nitrous builds). The C8 Corvette Z06 and ZR1 start at $750. Transmission tuning adds $200 when ordered with a tune, and revisions after data log review are included.
How does remote tuning work?
You order the tune for your engine, then send us your VIN, mod list, fuel and a stock read. We email a custom calibration, normally within 1-2 business days. You flash it at home with your HP Tuners or DiabloSport device, record data logs, and send them back. We revise the file until it is dialed in. Remote tuning is log-based, not live tuning over the internet.
Is a remote tune as good as a dyno tune?
A remote tune is built from real data logs recorded on your own vehicle, on your roads and your fuel, and it is revised until the logs look right. Which vehicles can you tune remotely?
We write custom remote tunes for the Dodge Charger, Challenger, Durango, Magnum and Chrysler 300; Jeep Grand Cherokee, Wrangler and Gladiator; RAM 1500, 2500/3500 and TRX; Chevrolet Camaro, Corvette and Silverado; GMC Sierra; Cadillac CTS-V, CT5-V Blackwing and Escalade; and Ford Mustang and F-150. What do I need for a remote tune?
An HP Tuners interface with credits for your vehicle (or a supported DiabloSport device on Dodge, Jeep, RAM, Chrysler, Camaro and Corvette applications), a Windows laptop for HP Tuners VCM Suite, and a wideband air/fuel gauge for Stage 3 builds. You can add an HP Tuners MPVI4 with the right number of credits when you order.
Do I need to unlock my PCM before tuning?
2015 and newer Dodge, Jeep, RAM and Chrysler PCMs are locked; we unlock them by mail for $199.99 or with a $49.99 BIN file unlock on GPEC and GPEC2A modules, and 2018+ models also need an $89 security bypass cable. Older GM ECMs are not locked. Newer GM Global B vehicles need an ECM unlock that we quote after seeing your VIN, and the 10-speed T93 TCM unlock is $399.99. Send your VIN and we will confirm what your vehicle needs.
How many HP Tuners credits will I need?
It depends on the vehicle and controller: most Dodge, Jeep and RAM HEMI engine tunes use 2 credits, and adding transmission tuning raises that. We confirm the exact count from your VIN before you buy. See our HP Tuners credit system guide for the details.
Can you tune my transmission too?
Yes. Transmission tuning is $200 when added to an engine tune, covering shift points, firmness, torque converter lockup and tire size correction. Stand-alone transmission tunes are available for the ZF 8-speed (8HP70/75/90/95, $249.99) and the GM 6L80 ($299.99).
