RAM Truck Computer Tuning & Custom Remote Tunes
N2 Speed writes custom RAM truck tunes for the RAM 1500, 2500, 3500 and TRX — from a stock 3.6L Pentastar work truck to a 5.7L HEMI daily driver on 35s, a 6.4L Power Wagon that tows, or a pulleyed TRX. Every calibration is written for your exact modifications, fuel, tire size and gearing. We do not resell generic canned maps.
Dodge RAM tuning is done remotely with HP Tuners or DiabloSport: you flash the file at home and we refine it from your data logs. We focus on spark and fuel tables, throttle response, torque management, MDS on the HEMI, tire and axle ratio correction, and tow/haul shift scheduling.

How Remote RAM Tuning Works
- Order your stage on your truck's engine page.
- Send your information — VIN, mod list, fuel and stock read to sales@n2speed.com.
- Flash the file — your custom calibration is emailed, normally within 1-2 business days.
- Log and refine — send data logs and we revise until it is dialed in. Tuning is log-based, not live; we can coordinate a local dyno appointment if you want faster revisions.
What You Need
- An HP Tuners interface — MPVI2, MPVI3 and MPVI4, plus RTD — with credits for your truck (2023-2024 RAM 1500 5.7 eTorque GPEC5 requires an MPVI4), or a DiabloSport inTune i3 Platinum or Trinity 2. An MPVI4 with credits can be added when you order.
- A Windows laptop with HP Tuners VCM Suite (HP Tuners route)
- A wideband air/fuel gauge for Stage 3 builds
- 2018+ RAMs: a security bypass cable ($89, available as an add-on)
Locked RAM PCMs (2015+)
Stellantis locks the PCM on 2015 and newer RAM trucks. We unlock them through our Dodge, RAM & Jeep PCM unlock service — mail-in unlock $199.99, or a BIN file unlock for $49.99 on GPEC and GPEC2A modules with no shipping. Want MDS off and the speed limiter removed without a full custom tune? Our 5.7L & 6.4L HEMI PCM bench tune handles it by mail. VIN changes and TCM flashing are under RAM PCM bench tuning. How much does it cost to tune a RAM truck?
N2 Speed custom RAM tunes are $450 for Stage 1 (stock and bolt-on trucks), $550 for Stage 2 (5.7L and 6.4L HEMI heads, cam or stroker builds, and TRX pulley and header builds — not offered on the 3.6L Pentastar) and $650 for Stage 3 (supercharged, turbocharged or nitrous builds). Transmission tuning adds $200 when ordered with a tune. Revisions after data log review are included.
Which RAM trucks do you tune?
We write custom HP Tuners and DiabloSport calibrations for the 2003-2024 RAM 1500 5.7L HEMI, 2013-2024 RAM 1500 and Classic 3.6L Pentastar (including eTorque), 2014-2024 RAM 2500 and 3500 6.4L HEMI including the Power Wagon, and the 2021-2024 RAM 1500 TRX. Do I have to bring my truck to your shop?
No. RAM tuning at N2 Speed is done remotely and is based on data logs: you send your stock read, VIN and mod list, we email a custom calibration, you flash it with your HP Tuners or DiabloSport device and send logs back for revisions. We do not live-tune over the internet. If you want faster revisions, we can coordinate a dyno appointment at a shop near you.
Do I need to unlock my RAM PCM before tuning?
2015 and newer RAM PCMs are locked by Stellantis against aftermarket writing. We unlock them with our mail-in PCM unlock service ($199.99), or with a BIN file unlock ($49.99, GPEC and GPEC2A modules, no shipping needed). 2018 and newer trucks also need a security bypass cable ($89) to flash through the OBD-II port. Send us your VIN and we will confirm what yours needs.
How many HP Tuners credits does a RAM need?
Most RAM 1500 5.7L, 3.6L, TRX and 2500/3500 6.4L engine tunes take 2 credits, and engine plus 8-speed transmission tuning takes 6. The 2023-2024 RAM 1500 5.7L eTorque with the GPEC5 PCM takes 4 credits engine-only and requires an HP Tuners MPVI4. You can add an MPVI4 with the right number of credits when you order.
Can you turn off MDS on my HEMI RAM?
Yes. On the 5.7L and 6.4L HEMI we can disable MDS cylinder deactivation as part of any custom tune, or as a stand-alone PCM bench tune if you do not want a full custom calibration.
Can you correct my speedometer and shift points for bigger tires?
Yes. Tire size and axle ratio correction are part of every RAM calibration, and with transmission tuning we also re-schedule shift points and tow/haul behavior for the larger tires and added weight.
How much horsepower will a tune add to my RAM?
Stage 1 typically adds 25-35 wheel horsepower on a 5.7L or 6.4L HEMI, 12-20 on a 3.6L Pentastar and 30-50 on a stock TRX. Supercharged and turbo Stage 3 builds see 150+ wheel horsepower depending on boost and fuel. Actual gains depend on your modifications, fuel, altitude and temperature.
