FRP Tuning Non-VVT HEMI Camshaft Only (5.7 / 6.1) is a bare camshaft fitment for non-VVT 2003-2008 (03 model year requires a PCM swap) 5.7 HEMIs and 2006-2010 6.1 HEMIs. Pick the grind that matches your combo and gearing below.
Fitment and Required Supporting Parts
- Fits Non-VVT 5.7 (03-08, 03 requires PCM swap) and 6.1 (06-2010)
- All grinds below require OEM "Hellcat" lifters, aftermarket pushrods, and aftermarket valve springs
Stock Piston Cams
- 216/226 111+4 "Hellfire 2.0" (Best Seller): Built for drivers chasing max torque, sound, and power on a stock torque converter. Works well for towing, highway/police gearing, and mild boosted combos, all while giving you that aggressive aftermarket idle.
- 220/228 113+2 "Mark 82": A noticeable but smooth idle with strong power delivery from 2000-6800 rpm in both the 5.7 and 6.1. No converter required in a car or truck, though it will benefit from one. A great all-around choice for a daily driven car or truck.
- 228/238 113+2 "Tomahawk": The max-effort option for stock-piston 5.7/6.4 combos, with a rough idle. A torque converter is strongly recommended. Cars should run 3.55 or 3.91 gears; trucks should run 4.56 for 5/6-speed setups or 3.92 for 8HP-equipped swaps. Best results come with 3200+ stall.
Aftermarket Piston / Stroker Cams
- 228/238 111+2 "Tomahawk 2.0": The updated version of the original Tomahawk grind, built as a max-effort stock piston cam. Rough idle, and a 3200+ stall converter is mandatory. Adds torque and horsepower gains up to approximately 6500 rpm in most combos.
- 231/246 116 "Titan II"
- 235/247 (112+2) "Trident": A proven 392-426 stroker grind with a very rough idle. Produced approximately 520 whp on a Dynojet using 93 octane in an 11:1 392ci NAG1 car. Minimum 3200 stall required, with 3600-4000 stall recommended. Compatible with the OEM Jeep WK1 SRT8 converter.
