How Remote Tuning Works

- Flash the file. We email your calibration, normally within 1-2 business days.
- Log and refine. Send data logs; we revise until the 2.3L is dialed in.
Locked Ford PCMs
Ford locks some later PCMs against aftermarket writing. If your vehicle cannot be flashed through the OBD-II port, we handle it with our mail-in Ford PCM & TCM unlocking service, and we also offer PCM bench tuning service for modules that need to be written on the bench. Send your VIN and we will confirm which route yours needs before you spend anything.

Actual results depend on your modifications, fuel quality, altitude and ambient temperature.
Do I need to unlock my PCM before tuning?
HP Tuners writes to most 2015-2025 Mustang EcoBoost, including the High Performance Package PCMs through the OBD-II port using credits. Some later Ford PCMs are locked and need our mail-in Ford PCM & TCM unlocking service or PCM bench tuning service first. If you are unsure, send us your VIN and we will tell you which path your truck or car needs.

Can you tune a completely stock Ford Mustang EcoBoost?
Yes. A stock 2.3L EcoBoost turbo I4 still leaves power, throttle response and transmission behaviour on the table. Stage 1 is designed exactly for stock and lightly modified vehicles.
Will a custom tune affect my factory warranty?
