Chevrolet Camaro Custom Remote Tuning & Performance Programming
Get the most out of your Chevrolet Camaro with professional remote tuning from N2 Speed. Whether you drive a 4th gen LS1 Z28, a 5th gen SS or ZL1, or a 6th gen SS or ZL1, every calibration is written around your exact modification list, fuel and driving goals — we do not resell generic canned maps.
We tune the Camaro on both major platforms: HP Tuners (MPVI2, MPVI3 and MPVI4 interfaces, plus RTD real-time tuning devices) and DiabloSport (inTune i3 and Trinity 2). Fueling, spark advance, cam phasing, throttle response, AFM/DoD behavior, shift points and torque management are all addressed, and every tune is data-log validated with revisions included.
Chevrolet Camaro Factory Horsepower by Engine
Factory SAE-rated output for every Camaro engine we build calibrations for. These are the crank figures the car left the factory with — the tuning gains further down this page are measured at the wheels, so the two sets of numbers are not directly comparable.
| Years & Model | Engine | Factory Horsepower | Transmission |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1998-2002 Camaro Z28 / SS | 5.7L LS1 V8 | 305-325 hp | T56 6-speed manual or 4L60E automatic |
| 2010-2013 Camaro SS | 6.2L LS3 V8 | 426 hp | TR6060 6-speed manual |
| 2010-2015 Camaro SS | 6.2L L99 V8 (AFM) | 400 hp | 6L80 6-speed automatic |
| 2014-2015 Camaro Z/28 | 7.0L LS7 V8 | 505 hp | TR6060 6-speed manual only |
| 2012-2015 Camaro ZL1 | Supercharged 6.2L LSA V8 | 580 hp | TR6060 6-speed manual or 6L90 automatic |
| 2016-2024 Camaro SS / 1LE | 6.2L LT1 V8 | 455 hp | 6-speed manual, 8L90 8-speed or 10L80 10-speed |
| 2017-2024 Camaro ZL1 / 1LE | Supercharged 6.2L LT4 V8 | 650 hp | 6-speed manual or 10L90 10-speed |
Camaro LS and LT engines are MAF-metered, and the L99, LT1 and LT4 use cylinder deactivation (AFM/DoD) plus direct injection on the LT engines — all handled inside the calibration.

Camaro Tuning Stages and Pricing
| Stage | Built for | Typical gains | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stage 1 — Stock & Bolt-Ons | Stock cars and builds with an intake, throttle body or exhaust | 20-30 wheel hp and 25-35 wheel lb-ft on 93 octane, plus sharper throttle and firmer shifts | $450 |
| Stage 2 — Heads, Cam & Stroker | Naturally aspirated builds with a camshaft, ported heads or a stroker | 70-120 wheel hp on a cam and supporting bolt-on package | $550 |
| Stage 3 — Supercharged, Turbo & Nitrous | Forced-induction and nitrous builds, including already-supercharged ZL1s | 150-350+ wheel hp depending on boost level and fuel | $650 |
Add transmission tuning for $200 to recalibrate shift points, shift firmness and torque management on the 4L60E, 6L80/6L90, 8L90 or 10L80/10L90. Prefer DiabloSport hardware? The same three stages are available as DiabloSport i3 / Trinity 2 tunes at the same pricing. Not sure which stage fits your build? Email your mod list to sales@n2speed.com or call (954) 406-8550 — we would rather point you at the right package than sell you the wrong one.
What You Need Before You Order
- An HP Tuners interface — MPVI2, MPVI3 or MPVI4, or an RTD device — plus credits for your vehicle. New hardware? Start with the HP Tuners MPVI4 with Pro Feature Set, or a DiabloSport i3 / Trinity 2
- A Windows laptop with HP Tuners VCM Suite installed
- Your stock read — we walk you through pulling it
- A wideband air/fuel gauge — recommended for Stage 2, required for Stage 3
How Remote Tuning Works
- Order your stage. Pick the package that matches your build.
- Send your information. Email your VIN, mod list, fuel type and stock read to sales@n2speed.com.
- Flash the file. We email your calibration, normally within 1-2 business days.
- Log and refine. Send data logs and we revise until the car is dialed in.
GM Modules, Unlocks and Bench Work
Chevrolet does not lock the Camaro engine computer the way Stellantis locks 2015 and newer Dodge PCMs, so engine tuning is a straight OBD-II flash — there is no ECM unlock upsell here. The exception is the 2017 and newer 8-speed and 10-speed T87A transmission module, which needs our GM ECM and TCM unlock & programming service before it can be written. For modules that are damaged or will not communicate we also offer GM PCM bench tuning. Send your VIN and we will confirm which route yours needs before you spend anything.
Camaro DiabloSport Tuning — inTune i3 & Trinity 2
Running DiabloSport hardware instead? We build the same three stages for the inTune i3 Platinum and Trinity 2 Platinum, delivered as a custom file you load onto the device. Bolt-on, cam and stroker, supercharged, E85 and 91/93 octane calibrations are all supported, along with shift point and torque management changes on automatic cars. Full details on the Camaro DiabloSport tuning page, and devices are on the Camaro tuning devices page.
Chevrolet Camaro Tuning FAQs
How much does a Camaro tune cost?
Our Chevrolet Camaro custom remote tunes are $450 for Stage 1, $550 for Stage 2 and $650 for Stage 3, and transmission tuning is $200. Pricing includes revisions after we review your data logs, and it is the same whether you tune with HP Tuners or DiabloSport hardware.
How much horsepower will a tune add to a Camaro?
On 93 octane a Stage 1 calibration typically returns 20-30 wheel horsepower and 25-35 wheel lb-ft along with sharper throttle response and firmer shifts. A cam, cylinder head or stroker build sees 70-120 wheel horsepower at Stage 2, and a supercharged or turbocharged build sees 150-350 wheel horsepower and up at Stage 3 depending on boost and fuel. Actual results depend on your modifications, fuel quality, altitude and ambient temperature.
Do I need to unlock my Camaro ECM before tuning?
No. Chevrolet did not lock the Camaro engine computer, so LS1, LS3, L99, LS7, LSA, LT1 and LT4 ECMs all flash through the OBD-II port with an HP Tuners or DiabloSport interface. The only module that needs unlocking is the 2017 and newer T87A transmission control module used with the 8-speed and 10-speed automatics, which we handle through our GM ECM and TCM unlock and programming service.
Which Camaro years and engines do you tune?
We build calibrations for the 1998-2002 5.7L LS1, the 2010-2015 SS with the 6.2L LS3 or L99, the 2014-2015 Z/28 7.0L LS7, the 2012-2015 ZL1 supercharged 6.2L LSA, the 2016-2024 SS 6.2L LT1 and the 2017-2024 ZL1 supercharged 6.2L LT4.
Can you tune the automatic transmission too?
Yes. Transmission tuning is a $200 add-on and covers shift points, shift firmness, torque management and converter behavior on the 4L60E, 6L80, 6L90, 8L90, 10L80 and 10L90. On 2017 and newer 8-speed and 10-speed cars the T87A module has to be unlocked first.
Do you support E85 and 91 octane?
Yes. We build 91 octane, 93 octane and E85 calibrations, and flex or multi-map setups on supported hardware so you can switch between fuels. Tell us which fuel you run when you send your mod list.
Do I have to bring my Camaro to your shop?
No. Camaro tuning is fully remote. You email your stock read, VIN and modification list, we send the calibration back for you to flash at home, then you send data logs and we revise until the car is where you want it. N2 Speed is in Pompano Beach, Florida, and local customers are welcome, but nothing about the process requires a visit.
Will a custom tune void my Camaro factory warranty?
A dealer can deny a powertrain warranty claim if they find a modified calibration, and that applies to any aftermarket tune, not just ours. Many customers return to the stock file before service. If your Camaro is still under factory warranty, factor that in before ordering.
