What you need: An HP Tuners MPVI2, MPVI3, MPVI4 or RTD device. The 8L90 TCM is licensed separately from the engine — HP Tuners lists the 8-speed TCM at 4 credits. 2017 and newer T87A transmission modules must be unlocked before they can be tuned — we handle that step for you; email your VIN and we will quote it. GM engine modules are not locked, so no ECM unlock is required.
How it works: Tuning is done remotely and is log-based — you flash the file, record a datalog and send it back, and we revise until it is right. If you want faster revisions we can coordinate a dyno appointment.
