Ford F-150 2.7L EcoBoost Remote Tuning
Ford F-150 2.7L EcoBoost Remote Custom Tuning with HP Tuners
N2 Speed builds custom HP Tuners calibrations for the Ford F-150 2.7L EcoBoost and its 2.7L EcoBoost twin-turbo V6 — remotely, so you never have to leave your car on someone else's dyno. Every file is written for your specific combination of modifications, fuel and driving use. We do not resell generic canned maps.
Tuning is handled by email and data log review: you send us your stock file and vehicle details, we build the calibration, you flash it with your HP Tuners interface, then we refine it from your logs until the 2.7L is exactly where it should be.

What Our 2.7L EcoBoost twin-turbo V6 Calibration Addresses
We focus on boost targets, fueling and 10-speed shift logic — the 2.7L responds hard to calibration because it is heavily detuned from the factory. Common supporting modifications we tune around include intercooler upgrade, catless downpipe, cold air intake, E30 blend, charge pipes.

Locked Ford PCMs
Ford locks some later PCMs against aftermarket writing. If your vehicle cannot be flashed through the OBD-II port, we handle it with our mail-in Ford PCM & TCM unlocking service, and we also offer PCM bench tuning service for modules that need to be written on the bench. Send your VIN and we will confirm which route yours needs before you spend anything.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a Ford F-150 2.7L EcoBoost tune cost?
Our Ford F-150 2.7L EcoBoost HP Tuners remote tunes start at $450 for Stage 1 (stock and bolt-on builds), $550 for Stage 2, and $650 for Stage 3 forced-induction, cammed or E85 builds. Pricing includes revisions after we review your data logs.
How much horsepower will a tune add to my Ford F-150 2.7L EcoBoost?
On 93 octane a Stage 1 calibration typically returns 35-50 hp and 60-80 lb-ft on 93 octane. Stage 2 builds see 55-75 hp with a downpipe, intercooler and intake, and Stage 3 builds see 85-110 hp on E30 or E85. Actual results depend on your modifications, fuel quality, altitude and ambient temperature.
Do I need to unlock my PCM before tuning?
HP Tuners writes to most 2015-2025 F-150 2.7L EcoBoost, 13th and 14th generation PCMs through the OBD-II port using credits. Some later Ford PCMs are locked and need our mail-in Ford PCM & TCM unlocking service or PCM bench tuning service first. If you are unsure, send us your VIN and we will tell you which path your truck or car needs.
What equipment do I need for remote tuning?
An HP Tuners interface — we recommend the HP Tuners MPVI4 with Pro Feature Set — the credits for your vehicle, a Windows laptop with VCM Suite installed, and an internet connection. A wideband air/fuel gauge is recommended for Stage 2 and required for Stage 3.
How long does the tuning process take?
Your first calibration is normally emailed within 1-2 business days of us receiving your vehicle information and stock file. Revisions after a data log are usually returned same day or next business day.
Can you tune a completely stock Ford F-150 2.7L EcoBoost?
Yes. A stock 2.7L EcoBoost twin-turbo V6 still leaves power, throttle response and transmission behaviour on the table. Stage 1 is designed exactly for stock and lightly modified vehicles.
Will a custom tune affect my factory warranty?
Modifying the factory calibration can affect powertrain warranty coverage. We recommend returning to the stock file before any dealer visit. Full terms appear on each product page.
