What Are Factory Flash Files?

Factory flash files are the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) calibration files stored in your vehicle's PCM from the factory. These files contain the exact fuel maps, timing tables, transmission shift points, and emissions parameters that your vehicle shipped with. When you flash your PCM with a factory file, it restores the module to its original, unmodified state — as if it just rolled off the assembly line.

Requirements

You must have a factory-flash-capable tool to load and flash the file to your PCM. Compatible tools include HP Tuners, wiTECH, or other professional J2534 pass-through devices. This service provides the file only — flashing is performed by the customer.
